I'm Kirsten, married to my sweet husband Daniel and the mother of four amazing kids: Noah, Wilson, Lucy and Annie-Grace. I started this blog to keep in touch with friends and family as we embark on a new adventure in moving to Seattle, WA.. We will miss our home and friends from Oklahoma but we want to keep in touch and hope this blog will help.

For Sale!
So, we've had some issues. Boo is great, and we would really like to keep him, but when our landlord came over the other day b/c the entire 1/2 of the downstairs had flooded, (another story). He reminded us of the original lease, which says, " one dog". Oh, we were sad...he is normally a really nice guy, and we didn't know what irked him...maybe it was b/c he had to have the septic tank pumped out, after the flooding....any way he would not budge on the Boo issue:( And, so he must go....

Double Digits
Lucy turned 10 years old yesterday. My first daughter, brings to mind so many pleasurable thoughts...her nicknames..."Lucy-limer, Loo-Loo bug, Lucy- Goose....really she has many. She had a day in Seattle w/ dad; went up to the Space Needle, donuts for lunch and a movie. She came home to her favorite foods, (prepare for some nausea). Brown beans, cornbread, potstickers, shrimp, Lucky Charms, 3 musketeers, brownies, Oreo caksters....argh! We had a chaotic family party, no presents. This year being the "birthday experience" year. (the cruise gramma paid for us to have a family reunion, and Kory's wedding is everyone's birthday present). Anyway, we remanenced about her "bath tub birth", went through her severly lacked baby album, and enjoyed eating our variety of foods. Lucy your a joy and a pleasure....so glad Jesus gave you to us!

First Official Trail Run
In an effort to not lose the progress I made in training for the Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon, I signed up for some local races. (I'm also really missing running w/ DeVon, our time came and went too quickly).
The Roots Rock Running Series I thought would be great b/c no early morning ferry, close proximity, less expensive and different. Different, b/c they are trail runs. Other than the trails around my house, I had never done one before and found my self signing up for two just to stay motivated. This one was the 8 mile Bear of a Run. Yep, just go in where you see those flags and eventually come back out. It was beautiful, and sometimes I thought if I looked up, I would surely be taken down by a tree root, sharp turn, or maybe that hill that the only way up was to stair climb. Was that the "Bear" in Bear run? But, it was fun...and thanks to some new running friends Erika and Leah, we were able to girl talk our way through it. Although it was very quiet going up that Bear Hill. Argh. I am sore. No chatter there.
