I'm Kirsten, married to my sweet husband Daniel and the mother of four amazing kids: Noah, Wilson, Lucy and Annie-Grace. I started this blog to keep in touch with friends and family as we embark on a new adventure in moving to Seattle, WA.. We will miss our home and friends from Oklahoma but we want to keep in touch and hope this blog will help.

Stumped
So, wow it's been a while for me to post. I find that when I don't have current pictures I tend to not blog as much. Anyway, I've tried to think of what's new and exciting these days...but it seems my life is filled w/ work, being a taxi service for my kids and an occasional run. I do enjoy reading all your blogs however. We may have some fun news coming soon....but I'm still waiting to hear of a potential wedding date for my brother and his girl. So, I want to squeal w/ delight, but don't have full permission yet. So, all I can say is I miss you all. Memories of coffee dates, play dates, running dates, and week-end away dates are precious, and I'm not giving up that more are to come:)

Remember when????
I know it's coming...spring is got to be just around the corner. I'm ready. I'm ready for sunshine, and flowers and blue sky....aahh. This is a picture from behind our house. I know some wanted more pictures of what it looks like. It's hard to tell but, the window you see is my kitchen window and its built on a hill so, below the deck is another window which is the boys room. (down stairs basement area) I'll try to get more pictures of the inside post a cleaning day:)
Three nights of work start tonight...have a good rest of the week!! and, oh, Happy Valentine's Day if I'm too sleepy to post.

Commuter Kirsten
Ok, I'm trying to gain the motivation b/c the weather is nicer and its officially time to get back on my bike and ride to work. I've been driving to the ferry since the huge snow storm in December and then walking up to the hospital from the ferry. This is hard not b/c I don't enjoy riding my bike, but just a few irritations have left me prolonging the inevitable. Melancholy Kirsten needs to start looking on the bright side of commuting this way, and just get back in her groove! The benefits are huge:
1. biking helps me train for the 1/2 marathon I'm doing in June. (b/c my 3 shifts in a row are a huge interruption to running schedule....the biking keeps my legs fresh)
2. its ironic that I've gained 8lbs since I've moved to the 2nd Best Healthiest City in America. the pounds must come off if summer clothes are going to fit!
3. no more warnings/tickets on my car for illegal parking by the ferry.
4. there's more, but you get the idea....so thanks...I think by writing out my pro-list I've jumped started my motivation enough to gain some momentum. If you can think of any more "pros" to add to my list, feel free!
Miss everyone; Hugs to all!

Happy Birthday Mom!
This blog is turning out to be a happy birthday blog...but I don't care!
Yes, my mom was born 9 days after my dad- funny, huh? She is an amazing woman, moving around the world w/ her man, making/losing friends, starting/stoping jobs. Being a military wife is probably fun and sad.
She's an amazing grandma....keeping my kids well clothed! Wish I could be home to celebrate....love you MOM!!!
